Anouar spent over a decade managing institutional Islamic finance funds before founding Bayuti with a single mission: to make Sharia-compliant home ownership accessible to everyday Muslim families in the UK.
His platform is FCA-regulated, Sharia-certified, and built on genuine musharakah co-ownership -not a rebranded conventional mortgage. On the night, he will explain exactly how the model works, why it matters, and why now is the right moment to take the first step.
Anouar will walk through the real barriers facing British Muslim homebuyers today -the riba problem, the deposit barrier, and the gap between Islamic finance in theory and in practice. Then he will show you what the alternative actually looks like.
Umer is one of the most credible and candid voices in UK Islamic finance. He has spent 15 years working with leading scholars on Sharia structuring, and is currently Global Head of Risk, Compliance and Shariah at Wahed -the world's leading halal digital investment platform.
